The problem we started with
Home services run on trust, but almost nothing in the process is designed to earn it. You don't know who is actually turning up. The price shifts once the work begins. Payment happens in cash, or on an invoice that someone has to chase. And if something goes wrong, there's rarely a clear way to put it right.
That's uncomfortable for customers. It's just as bad for the professionals doing the work — good cleaners spend their time competing on price with people who cut corners, and get paid late for work they finished on time.
